ΛESVIA, The herstory of Eressos

This film records 40 years of stories, memories, love affairs, social conflicts, joy, sharing, in the village of Eressos and the lesbian community that still thrives there. I tell this story from my place as a Lesvian-lesbian, trying to make a home in the world that can include both parts of myself.

The Silent Path

" Silent Path", is a series of documentaries shot in Lesvos, during the financial and migrant crisis. The series is filmed with a poetic approach, without seeking the classic documentation. It deliberately follows the natural course of the meetings with the characters, without aiming at a pre-determined outcome, leaving space for emotions and the unexpected. The aim of the series is to give a voice to everyday people who live their lives quietly, but know how to share, laugh, create, love, endure and keep on going with dignity, preserving a way of living in harmony with their environment.

Mr. Dimitris and Mrs. Dimitroula

A middle-aged man dances in the middle of the street. Greek songs of the 1970s and memories trace a constant smile up on his face. His only company, a cat. A camera, as an observer, stealing images and his thoughts. Dimitris is different. More human, but also more lonely that the others. His red dress drew the attention of those who went to Mytilene in order to cover the refugees' suffering. Many thought that his drama is lighter, more joyful. But Dimitris still lives with his loneliness and now that he is out of the limelight, the night seems darker than ever.

In search of Orpheus
